---------------------- You've got two choices... stay old school and suffer, or ride down Huawei Highway and flow through your day. This was a great premise from my friends at McCann México. I'm very grateful to be their ally in this launch of two Huawei's apps: Health and Assistant. I think it came out the way we imagined it.
FUNDACIÓN DONDÉ "100 Años"
My friends at independent marketing agency Morfina teamed up with The Mix Production house and I to bring this important piece to life. I had worked with Fundación Dondé a couple of years ago, and immediately felt this organization was something much more than a business. They try to change México one kid at a time, and I was (and am) very grateful to be part of their History. I hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it.
TIGRES / AFIRME "Jugamos En Tu Equipo"
A very passionate piece where Nahuel Guzmán acknowledges a very dark period in Team Tigres History: The 29-year game. This was the timeline between 1982 and 2011 where Tigres didn't win any league championship; and they even lost the premium soccer category in México for a year. This was such a mammoth project to tackle. It doesn't seem like much at first glance, but what it lacks in locations and casting, it makes up for in limitations and shooting time. I was shooting on location in Hermosillo, Sonora when they green-lit this piece. And it was to be shot in a couple of days. I had to finish my shooting day in Hermosillo, fly to Monterrey and then film this piece with my good friend -and incredible talent- Charly Ramírez. Then we had the time constraints regarding our protagonist, Argentinian National Team goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán. Team Tigres wouldn't allow for more than a 5-hour shoot with him because of contract issues and also -and quite understandable- because of this being a night call and Nahuel had to train the next morning. Everything went fine thanks to the awesome crew of La Tuna Group, and also thanks to a very professional and easy-going Agency LVT that supported us in every step of the way. We made a great teamwork and I think it shows.
MC ALLEN "We Shop"
Just after school I joined RT&A, an advertising agency based in Monterrey México as a producer. It was a great place to learn about the craft, about the importance of marketing efforts, and mainly about being a true professional. Almost 10 years later, my former boss called me to pitch my ideas for this project. This is a spot about a shopping town in Texas, but it's more about the meaning and the recipients of what you buy, than the shopping itself. I'm glad I jump into the right people throughout this incredible journey.
UDEM "Diálogos con Tuca Ferretti (Teaser)"
I came into this project because of previous documentary work, but also because the client knew I was a hardcore fan of Tuca Ferretti, one of Mexico's top soccer managers. During the pitch, I told them it would be great to tell a story about the struggles of a soccer player throughout his life. It had to be concise, but very cinematographic and raw. I think we achieved it. This ended up in the final episode ( http://www.udem.edu.mx/Esp/Somos-UDEM/Perspectiva-UDEM/Pages/temporada-3/episodio-1.aspx ) but also ended up as a teaser.
DISCOVERY + SAMSUNG "El México del Futuro" (Rodolfo Neri Vela)
I want to thank Dr. Rodolfo Neri Vela for his great disposition towards this short doc. It was a great adventure: many things to say, very little time. But we made it, and I think Samsung, Discovery Networks, and everyone involved are very happy with the final product.
CENTRO EDUCATIVO NEMI "Apoya Sus Sueños"
Here's another social project. These ones I love. I like documentaries; I like working with children; I like to help more kids get access to the education they deserve. This is about an education center in Mexico City where they give low-income families the opportunity for quality, private-school-class education. I don't want my own children to live among assholes, so education is they key. I hope you like it, and -if you can- help out! More info on: www.centroeducativonemi.edu.mx
